Santa Claus and his elves delivered presents to more than 6,000 children and young people in out-of-home care and in family support cases for Christmas. The annual collaboration involved more than 40 generous organisations in 2024, including Care Bags.

We need over 7,000 chocolate or lolly stockings for children in care. Stockings (approx. 182g) can be purchased from your local retailer for around $6-$8.

We are no longer accepting physical gifts. This year, the children and young adults involved will provide ‘wish lists’ so we’ll be purchasing personalised gifts directly. We purchase gifts valued between $30-$50.

The spirit of Christmas
For a child in care, Christmas can be a difficult time for many reason’s including potentially being separated from siblings and unable to spend time celebrating with family.
To help bring some magic and the spirit of Christmas we are committed to donating Christmas gifts and chocolate stockings to as many children in care in Western Australia as possible.
We want to help promote their sense of self-worth and show them the wider community care for them and their futures.
